Plans are fully in place now for our June service opportunity. We will be meeting Mia Bartlett (a Colossae member) at the Supa Fresh Youth Farm behind Durham Elementary to help her around the garden. She said there will probably be some planting that we can do, and probably some harvesting too. She's planning to meet up with us at 7:00P on Wednesday, 19 June. It's a training farm, so no experience is needed to come pitch in! Please let me know if you have questions, or if you would like contact information to speak with Mia directly. I checked the weather and there is a chance of showers. I'll be in touch with Mia earlier that day to make sure we are still set to go, and I'll let you know if there are any changes to plans.

We aren't having a meal together since we will be out in the community, but hopefully there will be enough time for everyone to grab a bite before meeting up at the garden. Tim and I also plan to bring some fruit and dip to share, as well as iced tea and water (and plastic cups!). Feel free to bring another easily transported snack if you want to.
For the kids: Mia talked about doing a ladybug release!! How cool would that be? And she also mentioned that the play structure is right next to the garden, so I might end up taking Sophie over there if she gets too rambunctious for garden space. But my guess is there will be tasks for them to do with us, if they are so inclined.
Looking forward to serving as a community group! Prayerfully considering the lives Mia is touching and looking forward to participating - may God use our work to His glory. Love that we get to bond while serving Him!
Katie and the kids will be there!
